Bullying

Bullying is repeated verbal, physical, social or psychological behaviour that is harmful and involves the misuse of power by an individual or group towards one or more persons. Cyberbullying refers to bullying through information and communication technologies.

Bullying can involve humiliation, domination, intimidation, victimisation and all forms of harassment including that based on sex, race, disability, homosexuality or transgender. Bullying of any form or for any reason can have long-term effects on those involved including bystanders.

Bullying can happen anywhere: at school, travelling to and from school, in sporting teams, between neighbours or in the workplace.

If you are being/were bullied, the most important thing to remember is that help is available. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to talk.

 Counselling will support you through difficult times and help you become empowered and will help you work through whatever you are feeling – some of these feelings are stress, anxiety, anger, depression, helplessness, despair, Counselling can also support you to become assertive and help you with issues that have arisen because of being bullied such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, self-harm or post-traumatic stress.
